Scottish National Portrait Gallery Edinburgh

The newly refurbished Scottish National Portrait Gallery ,in Queen Street Edinburgh, is impressive. The building contrasts old and new interior styles and embraces all that is good about Scotland, past, present and future.

In London, you will find Vivienne Westwood sketching historic costume in the cities museums. The Edinburgh gallery has plotted a 'Catwalk Collection Trail' highlighting portaits of importance to costume development.

There is a good contemporary and photography gallery to visit there too.
