Twist & Fibre

HND creative students had a great hands on experience when they visited Twist & Fibre Craft Studio in Newburgh, Fife this week to learn the basic process of making felt.

Water, soap, bubble wrap and much rubbing and rolling...

students were amazed at how quick and easy the process of making felt could be.

Even with first samples the students could see the potential of how they could blend yarns, colours, textures and shapes to create interesting garment ideas.

Many thanks to Lorna our host who gave the students a full workshop session. I hope that we will see the development of this sampling in the students concept garment designs.
