These amazing costumes, and many, many sculptural wall pieces were made using emu feathers by Colombian born artist Maria Fernanda Cardoso. Whenever an artist or designer focuses on natural materials like this, the work becomes tribal, shamanistic and startling.
These are brilliant. Especially loving the organza futuristic 'shawl' in the middle image.
