Borre Akkersdijk's work constantly surprises me. A year ago I wrote describing his 'ready-made' series which used the construction techniques of mattress makers.Now with 'First Cycle' his padded quilted creations are less air sprung mattress and more eiderdown, akin to traditional Chinese quited jacket's that were popular in the late 1970's.
Borre Akkersdijk uses this quilting to create unique fashion in terms of both texture and silhouette.
