Hannah B Mitchell

Subtle pastels and translucence are the main theme of Hannah Mitchell's graduate collection at GSA. Hannah's work has a quiet intensity that grows, a silent beauty. It is a body of work that is beguiling, feminine, intricate and perfect.

Liu Chao

Liu Chao's graduation show at GSA was based on play, specifically construction toys like magnetics, lego and mecano. Liu Chao's interpretation of textiles is structural and hard, an architecture of cloth.

Rachel McIndoe

Sparkle and glitter, Rachel McIndoes graduate collection was a riot of sequins and layers of sheen and texture.

Dawn McColgan

It is difficult to present a degree show or even the work of one department, as what I like and focus on would be different to anyone else seeing it, so I am going to share what I liked.
Try to get to Glasgow and choose your own favourites.
The work of Dawn McColgan was fantastic today, handling it, it moved like a slinky. It was delicate and yet full of amazing detail and experimentation.
"I hold an intense interest in shape selection and manipulation to create fresh and exciting embroidered and embellished textiles suitable for contemporary casual fashion."  Dawn McColgan
