Anna Sui

Inspired by French antique dealer and interior decorator Madeleine Castaing and 1970s punk scene Anna Sui's SS 2013 collection at the New York Fashion Week earlier this month made everyone smile. Candy coloured hair crowned a collection buzzing with pattern, layering and embellishment, irreverent and sweet an optimistic happy collection.

Louise Gray II

Louise Gray's SS 2013 'Now What' collection was unveiled today at the Topshop space, London fashion Week. Louise's work is like a witches brew of fashion with vintage mixed with space age and jangling clashes of colour and pattern, fashion with neo punk attitude.

Anatomy and Fashion

Clothes cover bodies, wrap bodies, reshape bodies redesign body form. Key to fashion is a good knowledge of anatomy and ergonomics.
Body shape and movement can be transformed by good fashion into poetry.
By Photographer: Alex Caley for 'Dutch' magazine issue 26, the model is Hannelore Knuts unfortunately I cannot find the dress designer.(thank you)

NC Fashion Portfolio

A wonderful first workshop with NC Fashion, lovely to meet and commence working with you all.
Here are some of the fab and fun creations from today's masks, veils and headdress workshop.

Danielle Kroll

I suggested to some of you, that a good way to build your skills in fashion design, drawing and illustration, is to make a 'clothes diary'. Here Danielle Kroll has done just that in her 'What I wore today' series, I hope it inspires you to get one started as it will quickly grow into a great sketchbook.

Harmony Nicholas

Australian photographer Harmony Nicholas's work often is very bold, brash, humorous and visually striking, I liked the 'paper dressing doll' concept for this editorial for Merge Magazine.

Kristina Kurkina

"By the time I had made the final fold, the piece of paper was a shape of a geometric flower ... Once it was time to turn the flower in on itself and I pulled it through the incision. I pushed the sides of paper flower towards the centre and as I did so it glowed and began to disappear…"
Ian McEwen - Solid Geometry

Kristina Kurkina is a Russian-Kazakh designer based in London and this is her 'Collection No1'. Her work involves bold silhouettes and  innovative shape. Krisina uses tailoring and imaginative fabric manipulation and smocking to create strong expressive designs. (thank you)
