Marianna Barksdale
" '13 Assassins' is based on Takashi Miike's film '13 Assassins'. . . I wanted the garments to provide a balance between protection and movement. Some can be worn to fight, travel and defend; other garments are meant for meditation and repose, to demonstrate both intimidation and independence. My muse is Lisbeth Salander, the "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," hard-boiled, scuffed, and armed -- her own samurai -- protecting herself without losing the gentle tether of vulnerability at her core. It’s important for our personal barriers to be both flexible and strong." Marianna Barksdale
The photography of Marianna Barksdale's Aw 21012 collection is wonderful and is by Ned and Aya Rosen.
Thank you

Anrealage
Pixalated fashion for AW 2011/12 by Japanese fashion designer Kunihiko Morinaga or Anrealage.
Kunihiko Morinaga has been playing with shape in his collections for years, but in these latest works has been exploring how;
“Shape” can be changed not only by the size of clothes, but also by the resolution of it. Shape breaks by lowering the resolution, so I pursued how to break it." KunihikoMorinaga
Below is an image from Anrealage AW 2010 Wideshortslimlong where Kunihiko was playing with the distortion of clothes by body shape.
