Macclesfield Button Project

I never work this small and it is quite a challenge, but I saw this project in the Fife Contemporary Arts newsletter and thought I would give it a go. You always see me raking in the bins, I hate to see fabric in a bin or knots of thread and I tend to liberate it for personal and student projects.
This weeks scraps were made into buttons for an exhibition at the Macclesfield Silk Museums. Applications to participate must be in before this weekend (March 4th)  and your button/ buttons must be completed before the end of April. For application forms and further information please follow this link.

Marie-France Annasse

Just loved the texture and colour of this piece by French designer Marie-France Annasse, crochet queen, photographer and stylist.
