Origami fashion, using shirts, pants and jeans instead of paper . . . certainly makes you think about your clothes differently. Bella Borsodi is an Austrian photographer who's still life photography has stretched the boundaries of her genre. These images were created as an advertising campaign for Yalook.com.

Anja Merete Larsen

Anja Merete Larsen is a new graduate of Kolding School of Design, I like her unique use of knitwear and the origami style decorative front piece.

Amila Hrustic

Amila Hrustic is a designer based in Sarajevo, her portfolio is extensive spanning the disciplines of textiles, fashion, furniture and product design. This collection is called 'Plato's Collection',based on platonic solids of the cube, tetrahedron, octahedron dodecahedron and icosahedron.

The clothes are made of paper and are more suited to stage or fashion editorials. (thank you)

Julian Roberts

Julian Roberts constructs fabrics like an engineer, they are folded like origami masterpieces , his technique is called 'Subtraction Cutting'.
'Subtraction Cutting' is an approach to garment design that allows for trial and error, chance discovery, multiple flipside viewpoints, and the ability to cut fast and loose without too many overbearing reference to numbers, or rigid mathematical rules.'

A 'fashion week' is a fashion industry event lasting approximately one week that enables designers, fashion houses and brands to display their latest creations. The most prominent fashion weeks are held in the fashion capitals of : New York, London, Milan and Paris. The annual events kick off in New York with the other cities hosting their events in the order given. Fashion weeks are semiannual events, January through to April the designers release their autumn / winter collections. September through to November they show their spring/summer collections. There are other fashion weeks in other cities where designers showcase specific garment collections such as swimwear. Also designers put on independent events outside of the traditional seasons.
