Mats Gustafson I
Swedish illustrator Mats Gustafson's fashion illustrations often focus on the silhouette
Gustafson's experimentation with mediums such as watercolour, pastel and paper cuts reinvigorated and expanded the possibilities of fashion illustration after is demise due to advances in photography.
“You have to somehow fall in love with whatever you work with, to find the most interesting perspective or the beauty in whatever you do. When it really clicks between you and the designers, then of course it is more dynamic and more exciting.” Mats Gustafson

Nicole Janota

Nicole Janota graduated from Beckmans College of Design, in 2007.
"When I started I was probably very experimental. For my portfolio, I made a collection of clothes, towels and tampons ha ha. It could be inspired by a period of time, and I chose women's liberation."
Now Nicole is more commercial but she says, "It is important to retain the fun details in the clothes."
