Thomas Wakeford
This is the look book of Thomas Wakeford for AW2012 a designer who studied at Brighton before going on to London Central St Martins. I love the styling and particularly the backdrops for these photographs which were created by Italian painter and illustrator Daniela Tieni

Sruli Recht

A designer who has lived at both ends of the world and is currently based in Iceland.Sruli Recht is making an art of survival in our times. His works are formed from the road kill of the modern world, from materials such as goats milk silk , horse tail hair and dolphin skin.
With these eclectic materials Sruli conjures the perfect collection for the contemporary male; masculine, stylish and timeless. (thanks)

Chloe, Autumn / Winter 2011-12
Above are some of the Chloe Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 range designed by Hannah MacGibbon who's clothes are wearable, cutting edge, sleek separates for modern women.
Gaby Aghion launched Chloe in Paris 1952 as an alternative to Haute Couture and as a result Pret-a-porter was born.
Haute Couture [French for high sewing or high dressmaking] refers to the creation of exclusive custom-fitted clothing. Haute couture is bespoke made exclusively for a specific customer, usually from very high quality fabrics with extreme attention to detail and often involving extremely skilled hand sewn detailing.
Pret-a-porter is ready to wear, off-the-peg factory made clothing, sold in a ready to wear condition and available in a variety of standard sizes.
