Lenka Srsnova

It is a day or two before the show and catwalk at Adam Smith, and I wanted to remind everyone of the fun that you have with fashion and to take the time to enjoy your skills over the summer or when you graduate. Fashionclash Maastericht is opening my eyes to so many people who work with fashion and who obviously enjoy playing within this genre, and at all levels of the fashion hierarchy.
This is a glimpse of the work of Lenka Srsnova including (bottom two images) a workshop that she did in a children's centre. The top two images show some of the fun Lenka has had incorporating shiny vinyl fabrics into her designs to create fun details and features.

Oskar Schlemmer I

Oskar Schlemmer conceived of the human body as a new artistic medium. He saw ballet and pantomime as free from the historical baggage of theatre and opera and thus was able to present his ideas of choreographed geometry, man as dancer, transformed by costume, moving in space.
These are some stills from a reconstruction of Ballet triadico.
The costumes are fantastic, changing the wearers proportions, the way and freedom with which they are able to move and the way they are perceived in space.

Looking more like bacteria or pollen this is the AW2011 collection of Yergor Zaitsev. Deliciously dangerous and toxic looking with fantastical silhouette.

Walter Van Beirendonck

Walter Van Beirendoncks collection 'Lust never sleeps' is a study of the masks we present. The collection caught my eye, as I liked the splashes of colour and mini me. The suit within a suit battle of identities.

Guillaume Nallet

"One of these nights at the pub next door, exhausted after shooting a ridiculous Ad campaign (again...), my friend photographer and I discussed about having some creative going on, maybe one of these things to prove ourselves that we can do creative work -doing good for our egos too -, so we came up with the idea of shooting a quirky Doll story with vibrant colors." Anna Rose Piercy

An alphabetical collection created by London based designer Anna Rose Piercy for Graduate Fashion Week. I really liked the way Anna put her presentation boards together. Inspiration again for your 'Fun and Humour' designs.
Anna went to the University for the Creative Arts at Epsom, since graduating she spent three months in Sweden doing an internship with Ann-Sofie Back and then had a further three months internship with Christopher Kane. Anna is currently working on a new collection and will be travelling in South America for research and inspiration.
